With THE WHISTLING ELK as a home base, Barbara L. Collins has been providing design services and furnishing homes for over fourteen years -- including consulting, floor planning, color scheme and fabric selection, window fashions, and a Home Styling Service for accessorizing rooms.

Barbara has participated in many design events and showhouses over the years, including the Mansion in May and the Montclair Jr. League Brookwood Showhouse & Gardens.

THE WHISTLING ELK, a noteworthy specialty shop located in Chester for over fourteen years, is filled with fine upholstery, reproduction furniture, distinctive lighting fixtures, rugs, European antiques, accent tables, wall décor -- pictures and mirrors, and decorative accessories -- all reflecting the ultimate level of sophistication elegance and quality. The shop has attracted customers and clients from all over New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.

In our shop you will find an exciting collection of casually elegant home furnishings and accessories designed to help you create a comfortable beautiful home. On our two floors we showcase furniture and accessories in appealing vignettes, and in addition, we offer a variety of custom design programs intended to meet your needs.

Over the years Barbara has continued to expand the product mix and the services offered at THE WHISTLING ELK. "I am always excited about new merchandise and new designs." Currently we are redesigning the shop interior in preparation for presenting an exciting new furniture line -- to be introduced this fall.
